David L. Speer, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Speer is the senior partner at South Louisville Pediatrics and has been a provider for our offices since August of 1978. He completed his undergraduate studies at Western Kentucky University in 1969 and graduated from the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine in 1974. He was the Chief Resident during his third year of training. Dr. Speer completed his pediatric training at Kosair Children’s Hospital. Since 1991 Dr. Speer has served our country as a Reservist in the United States Army and was called to active duty during Operation Desert Storm.

Dr. Speer has a lovely wife, 3 beautiful daughters, an ever-growing number of grandchildren, and a spunky Boston Terrier named Holly. He enjoys spending time at the lake, and working on his honey-do list.
